State Flowers
What is Missouri's State Flower?
Missouri State Flower - Hawthorn (Crataegus)
The Hawthorn Blossom was adopted as the official
floral emblem of Missouri in 1923 by the Missouri
General Assembly. The Hawthorn is a tree capable
of growing up to 13 meters. The Hawthorn often
loses its leaves in the late summer because of
leaf diseases, however it has no trouble surviving
despite their early leaf loss.
