Squirrels dig up freshly planted bulbs and raid bird feeders, but a few targeted deterrents usually solve both problems without any harm to the animal.

Protecting Bulbs

Squirrels are especially drawn to freshly turned soil where they can smell a newly planted bulb. Laying chicken wire just beneath the surface of a new bulb bed lets shoots grow through in spring while keeping squirrels from digging down to the bulb.

Protecting Feeders

Our Squirrel Repellent spray uses cayenne pepper, which birds can't taste but squirrels find unbearably hot — a simple way to keep feeders squirrel-free without excluding the birds you want.
