INSECT CONTROL RECIPE
Cricket Bait
A cornmeal bait draws crickets in and swells inside them once eaten — a slow but pet-safer option than sprayed insecticides indoors.
Prep: 10 minutes
Yields: several bait piles
Organic-friendly
Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
Small dishes or jar lids
Instructions
1
Scoop small piles of dry cornmeal into shallow dishes or jar lids.
2
Set the dishes in corners, near baseboards, and other spots where crickets are active.
3
Check every few days and refresh the cornmeal as it’s eaten or gets damp.
Tip: Place bait piles in dark, damp spots like basements and near door thresholds, where crickets like to shelter during the day.
