INSECT CONTROL RECIPE

Ant Traps

A peanut butter and boric acid trap plays to ants' love of protein and fat, luring them into carrying the active ingredient straight back to the nest.

Anttraps
Prep: 10 minutes
Yields: 4–6 traps
Organic-friendly

Ingredients

1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon boric acid
Small bottle caps or trap containers
Craft stick for mixing

Instructions

1

Mix the peanut butter and boric acid together thoroughly with the craft stick.

2

Spread a small amount into each bottle cap or trap container.

3

Place the traps along ant trails or near entry points, away from pets and children.

4

Check and refresh the bait every few days until ant activity stops.

Caution: Boric acid is toxic to pets and children — keep traps in covered containers, tucked out of reach.
